DMXReady allows you to make members active or inactive. For example, you may want to suspend a member from your website, but not delete that member. In this case, select "Inactive".

Note: to send a message to all people in your members' database, select "Show All" in each pull-down menu.
You can send a pre-written message by selecting it from the pull-down menu. To add a new message to the library or to review all your pre-written messages, click the "Manage Message Library" link.
This sets the priority (Low, Normal, High) of your email message.

HTML messages allow you to format your text, insert images, and other advanced features. Text-only messages, as the name implies, only allows you to add text.

Be sure to send a test email (button, bottom right of the text editor) to yourself before sending to everyone on your list.

Enter the name of a category for your member (optional). You can also add a sub-category by clicking on the "Add Sub-Category" link. Note: this is simply another way to categorize your members, and does not have any impact on a member's security level.
DMXReady allows you to decide whether or not you want to display the . For example, you may want to create a new category you will be using in the future, but do not have available yet. In this case, select "Private" , "hiding" it from your other website visitors without erasing all your data.

Add a short but descriptive title here. It may be useful to consider how you want to set up your security structure before creating security levels. You could have, for example, Visitors, Members, and Gold Members. Or perhaps Visitors, Newsletter Subscribers, Full Members. Deciding your membership structure ahead of time will make things easier for you in the future. Once you have created a new security level, it will appear in the list below.
Click on the corresponding link to Edit a security level or to delete it. Note: deleting a security level is irreversible.
Members can become active as soon as they sign up, or remain inactive until you approve their membership and manually activate them.
Most websites and organizations find it useful to add a terms and conditions for all members to agree to. If you would like to have this option, click on "Yes". You can write or edit your Terms and Conditions by clicking on the link.
In some cases, it may be better for you or the admin person to update personal member information. If this is the case in your situation, click on "No" so that only you may change member profiles.
Click "Enable" if you wish to add the option of a member signup on the login page. If membership is by invitation only, or if for any other reason you do not want to allow new members, click "Disable".
If you are using DMXReady Members Area Manager as a plugin for DMXReady CMS, you can automatically control the security level for each individual page. However if you are using this application in a stand-alone website or if you want to secure pages on your server that are outside of the DMXReady CMS (for example, independent landing pages), simply cut and paste the following lines of script at the top of each page you wish to secure, and save as an ASP (.asp) file. Note: only cut and paste the script for the security level you want your external page to have.
This will be the default page for all new members who sign up. Here you can add any number of items including a welcome message, news items, additional information, and links to important areas of your website.

Assign a section or category to the person. Note: this is for organizational and identification purposes only, and does not affect the member's security level.
By selecting "Required", members will need to complete their full mailing address during the sign-up process. If you do not need this information, select "Not Required".
Every member is assigned a default security level after signup, which you can select here. If you wish, you can create and set a "visitor" level that does not allow members into the member area until you have manually added them.
