Breadcrumbs are an easy way for your visitors to see where they've been and quickly get back to a previous page. However, not everybody likes using this navigation system, so DMXReady CMS allows you to turn this option on or off.
The search box allows your visitors to search your site by keyword instead of manually searching through pages. Smaller sites may not need this function, but it is useful for larger sites with many pages of information.
Select whether or not you would like to add the Page Tools to each page. These include: Subscribe to page, Email link to friend, Email author, Print page, and Post comment.
To change your website's skin, choose one of the skins from the drop down menu. You can also modify an existing skin by clicking on the "Make a Copy of This Skin" button. This will duplicate the existing skin and allow you to rename it before you start modifying the CSS code in the following step.

Simply click on the link to expand the CSS Code Editor, make the changes to your CSS, and click on the "Save Changes" button. To see the changes on your website, click the "Refresh Website" button. To restore to the default (original) CSS code, click on the "Restore Default" button. (Note: if you made a copy of the skin from the original, you may find it easier to simply switch back to the Default skin and save this modification for future use.)

DMXReady HIGHLY RECOMMENDS that you create a Copy of the Master Template first by clicking on the corresponding button, and then editing the copy. Once you have finished editing, click on the "Save Changes" button. To view the new layout, click on the corresponding copy under the "Alternate Template" list. To restore to the default (original) code, click on the "Restore Default" button. (Note: before you restore, cut and paste the modified code into a NotePad or similar document and save as a backup.)
Once you have created a copy of the Master Template, you can edit it directly by clicking on the edit link and saving it. You can view the changes by clicking on the copy name. To use the new template, simply copy the code in this window, click on the "Edit Master Template" button above, delete the old code, paste the new code in, and save. NOTE: DMXReady recommends that before this step you create a copy of the original by clicking on the "Create a Copy of the Master Template" again, and naming it "original copy".

By default, DMXReady uses the designation "" in the dynamic URL e.g. http://www.yourdomain.com/index.asp?=contact-us. However, you may want to change this to improve readability for your visitors and search engine spiders to improve your SEO. For example, if your website is primarily a library of articles, you could change "" to "article". DMXReady recommends short, one-word labels, but you could use multi-word labels as well. If you choose to do this, DMXReady recommends that you separate your label names with dashes (e.g. "my-article"). NOTE: DMXReady recommends that you change this label before building your website. Changes after your website goes live could lead to broken links and missing pages.
In certain instances, DMXReady will display the name in the URL like this: http://www.yourdomain.com/index.asp?=your-website. You can change the "" label to something more descriptive. For example, if your website sells widgets, you could improve your SEO by displaying http://www.yourdomain.com/index.asp?widget=this-widget. DMXReady recommends short, one-word labels, but you could use multi-word labels as well. If you choose to do this, DMXReady recommends that you separate your label names with dashes (e.g. "country-code"). NOTE: DMXReady recommends that you change this label before building your website. Changes after your website goes live could lead to broken links and missing pages.
